Sustainability
#ClayverSostenibile
Clayver is strongly committed to the adoption of circular economy practices and ongoing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), key elements of our mission. We are constantly working to reduce environmental impact and ensure sustainable resource management throughout the supply chain through material remanufacturing practices, ensuring the highest quality of our barrels.
1. Circular economy
Clay cuttings are reused instead of being disposed of as waste, reducing the need for new raw materials. Clayver implements a circular production model, aiming to minimize waste and regenerate byproducts in the production chain, giving the material a new life
2. Waste reduction
Approximately 33,200 kilograms of dewatered clay, which otherwise would have been disposed of as waste, is recovered each year. The company aims to drastically reduce waste generation through the reuse of production byproducts while reducing disposal costs. Our Clayver stoneware is a resource that, as a result, can be revived and reused by exploiting its full potential and technical characteristics.
3. Energy efficiency
The adoption of more modern and technologically advanced machinery such as: chopping, kneading machine, extruder, die. It allows energy and raw material consumption to be reduced, improving production efficiency.
4. Resource saving and emission reduction
By reusing by-products, Clayver reduces the need to transport new raw materials, contributing to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel savings on the order of 3000km/year.
5. Technological innovation
Semiautomatic technological innovation also comes through new technologies that enable forming by Clayver product components, thereby optimizing manual labor and increasing sustainability.
6. Creation of new products from by-products
The company has developed new product lines using by-products, contributing to a further reduction in material waste and promoting sustainable innovation.
7. Water efficiency
The clay regeneration operation involves careful moisture management, which is essential to avoid cracks and breaks in stoneware barrels, further reducing material waste.
8. Alignment with international sustainability standards
Clayver follows international guidelines and regulations to ensure that all operations are aligned with international environmental management standards.
9. Positive impact on the community and environment
The company’s strategy not only reduces direct environmental impact, but also promotes awareness of sustainability issues, enhancing the perception of Clayver as a green company.

Durabilité environnementale
#ClayverSostenibile

Clayver: innovation, technology and tradition.
Accuracy and scientific verification of our materials.
Clayver is a ceramic container designed expressly for Ia vinification, including in this definition fermentation, preservation and refinement of the product.
It is the result of a long process of research and experimentation. All containers are produced by us, under our direct supervision from raw materials that we carefully select from the best suppliers to ensure uniformity and consistency in the final product.
Why stoneware?
Ceramic stoneware is a homogeneous material, along with remarkable compressive strength, good flexural-tensile strength is noted, considering the stone nature, and high hardness.
We are champions of traceability!

- Ceramics certified for food use
- Controlled porosity
- Patented airtight closure
- High thermal inertia
- Easy cleaning
The Clayver Material
With traceability and certifications, Clayver stoneware is a guaranteed material.
Clayver ceramic wine barrels are made from a special homogeneous and compact natural ceramic stoneware. This is a material that is similar in many ways to a natural granite: it is impermeable to liquids and therefore does not require any precautions to prevent evaporation.
The inherent microporous structure of the ceramic material can allow gaseous exchange with the outside of the vessel but only in limited quantities and over very long time scales. The vessel is therefore also suitable for long aging.
