Museo Casa Jorn’s wine in Clavyer ceramic barrels
Some time ago we had briefly told you about the story of Asger Jorn, a Danish ceramist who had found a home and workshop in Albissola. But especially of the fact that we had donated to the Friends of Jorn House Association A 250-liter Clayver to refine the winery’s Ormeasco wine Maffone.
The news these days is that Jorn’s wine is finally born. 300 numbered bottles of it have been bottled, embellished with “Cantina Jorn” labels made by the artist and granted for the occasion by the Jorn Museum in Silkeborg. Jorn was indeed a lover of Ligurian culinary tradition, as well as of Ligurian and Piedmontese red wines. This also led him to produce, almost as a joke, his own wine, which was marked with the label Cantina Jorn in four colors.
Each bottle is accompanied by an informative text about the project in two languages: Italian and English. Proceeds from the sale of the wine are donated to charity.
